Buttons with links are the traditional way to link to other
personal sites, the buttons below are just scraped from pages that
I found interesting.
I will eventually write descriptions for all the websites behind
the buttons as they deserve it just like those sites below that
didn't make their own button. I also need to figure out some
dynamic show/hide toggle to display them, I just like the look
of the wall of blinking buttons.
My Buttons!
Feel free to grab one of my buttons and put it on your website
and I would love to add your button here too! I'll figure out how
to make downloading buttons as smooth as possible, but before I
do, please don't hotlink them right now.
Webrings!
Webrings are the chain of links to related websites, fun stuff
(as long as all the links work).
If I ever find websites that also do fictional
maps or are geography related, maybe I could make my own 🤔
Descriptions for pages (unfinished)
Þe Satyrs’ Foreſt ’t Satyrwoud -
what's up with those weird letters? You gotta find out, a website
with one of its kind atmosphere! Also includes stunningly detailed
maps, both fictional and real, as well as vast collection of links,
lists, writings and words, like so many words!
Kuroi OS - the most well stylized mock-up of a desktop
system in browser I've ever seen on personal website with very active chat!
Pysgodyn3 - Bill Gates and Steve Jobs made
that site so great and I'm very thankful, as well as for the very talented webmaster that
perfectly captured the style of hyper personal early internet and stuffed it to the brim with art!
Wii Chicken - That's the quality of a personal website that I wish to be able to create, the site looks phenomenal, it's got that futuristic yet welcoming style and the blog is full of great articles!
PetraPixel - if you spend any time on Neocities, you don't need the introduction to this website - it's a starting point for every beginning webmaster with quality tips, resources and layout generators as well as just a fantastically made personal site to be inspired. She's also currently hosting the second edition of Indie Web Contest!
Sonnenlicht - very chaotic, mobile hostile and totally awesome Dutch site with my favourite section about flags!
Robophobia - extremely well made retro game night site with electronic music and even games!
Doqmeat - Des Digital Journal - one of the very first site I visited on Neocities that gave me impression of how beautiful things people can make, the blog is very moving and there's ton of girly aestetics that I don't need myself, but is fabulously well done!
BMH Online - the website that looks like it's made with Microsoft Frontpage and captures the best from this era of the internet, lots of photos, thoughts, technology and webmaster tips and stuff.
Miela583 - What Video Game Did I Play Yesterday - it's mindblowing how persistent the webmaster is to document the games that they play everyday as a diary since May 2022, that's the monumental achievement, not some gaming history on Steam.
Frutiger Aero Archive - 2000s wallpapers, music, games, and much more. The site itself is peak aero aestetics!
bulltown - frankly this site (actually it's a conglomerate of sites on different domains) is kinda mysterious for me, and after visiting it dozens of times, I'm still hilariously confused when I leave that tab for a second, go back and there's nothing but the screensaver, it's minimalistic but super unique!
neo.stavros.io - page with
some fun software ideas, I don't even remember how I got there,
probably thanks to Neocities, but I love the idea of 'Strofara' and
if you don't know what it is, and you like discovering non-english
memes like I do, check that out!
I-Land - the artwork of that
world is so cozy and it's so many places to explore there,
yet another neocities gem
TG Music - neocities
page with tons of projects related to guitars, games and arduino!
Creepingnet's World
- content rich and nicely animated website about computers and
guitars with a ton of detailed articles
Messy Nessy Chic - website with tons of interesting
stuff including its staple series '13 Things I Found on the Internet Today'.
It also have a section with maps, although it's only for subscribers
